‘Arte Della Memoria’

Venice 2008

Domenico Rosso, an Italian photographer was inspired to create a situation for artists from an infinite variety of countries, to exhibit together. In order to integrate the shows, the participants were invited to base their work on a unifying theme. In the case of ‘Arte Della Memoria’, a photograph of an old man with a young child in a rustic setting, was distributed as the starting point.

The resulting 60 works from 12 different countries showed an intriguing and lively diversity in the multitude of approaches in the making of an art piece. The exhibition toured various countries and those lucky enough to travel, met and socialised with their fellow exhibitors.
